External Lecturer Position

At the Institute of Design, Media and Educational Science (IDMU) in Kolding, we are seeking from October 1, 2025, an external lecturer to provide teaching and examination in the subject of Design and Fashion Analysis for the first semester of the Bachelor's programs in Design Culture with Fashion and Business Economics and Design Culture with Space and Aesthetics.

The subject is conducted in Danish and focuses on design analysis and critical reflection on design and fashion as cultural and aesthetic practices. Teaching includes theoretical and methodological approaches to analyzing design objects, visual expressions, and material cultures, as well as how these fit into societal, historical, and sustainability contexts.

Applicants must have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Cultural studies in design and fashion

• Design theory and analysis

• Visual culture and aesthetic theories

• Sustainability in design and materiality

• Design history and criticism

Appointment starts October 1, 2025.

Employment is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC. A certificate of release will be issued.
