Principal Product Manager

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture. Target is well known for its signature ability to build the very best teams, and we infuse our work with Target's distinctive retail brand by continuously experimenting, evolving and innovating. With the chance to positively impact over 400,000 team members worldwide, you'll be a strategic partner to both the leaders and team members who elevate and nurture the Target guest experience. Our dynamic, passionate and responsive team comprises specialized people-professionals from several diverse disciplines. We create a progressive culture of value, respect, reward and professional advancement. Working within the HR Product Team, you'll focus on the powerful and innovative systems and technologies that team members depend on to manage their work productivity.

As the Principal Product Manager, you will define and own the long-term strategy for productivity tools across the enterprise, setting a clear vision for how platforms like ChatGPT-Enterprise, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft 365, and other productivity technologies evolve to support collaboration and efficiency for the enterprise. You will lead the development of a roadmap to integrate Generative AI/Agentic AI into these tools, identifying opportunities to transform workflows, reduce friction, and unlock new ways of working. Partnering closely with technology, security, and business leaders, you will align priorities to ensure you are creating products that users love, are scalable to the enterprise, secure, and compliant.

In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert and thought leader for productivity platforms and GenAI/Agentic AI; leveraging deep product knowledge to drive adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes. You will translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, working with engineering, design, and vendor partners to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement. By defining success metrics, monitoring adoption, and iterating based on feedback, you will ensure products deliver maximum value to employees. Success will hinge on your ability to operate in a matrixed environment, driving alignment and momentum across technology, compliance, security and business stakeholders. You will frequently influence without formal authority, building coalitions, aligning diverse perspectives, and ensuring enterprise priorities are advanced even when reporting lines or ownership structures differ.

As the "voice of the product," you will advocate for your product and ensure stakeholder needs are met while ensuring your product team receives the leadership and support required to succeed. This includes cultivating trust-based relationships across pyramids and business units, navigating competing priorities, and building alignment.

Finally, you will oversee progress against product backlogs, prioritizing themes, epics, and stories that deliver the greatest value in line with product strategy. You will ensure GenAI/Agentic AI enablement accelerates enterprise productivity and empowers teams to work smarter and more effectively.
