UX Designer

Join Target's UX team to design thoughtful and guest centered experiences for the Deals ecosystem across mobile web, Android, and iOS. Guided by our vision of a trusted and engaging deals experience that is seamless, clear, and rewarding, you'll help shape journeys that support millions of guests in saving and discovering with confidence.

In this role, you will bring Target's Tarzhay magic to life by crafting interactions that make savings simple and enjoyable. You'll design experiences that help guests return often because finding and using deals feels intuitive, transparent, and delightful.

You will contribute to end to end design across high visibility surfaces like the Homepage, PLP, PDP, Cart, Circle Deals, Weekly Ads, and the Unified Deals Hub. Working closely with your immediate team and cross functional partners, you'll help simplify complex promotional systems into clear savings experiences that empower guests to shop smarter. Your work will support our brand promise, Expect More. Pay Less., and help strengthen guests' trust in Target's deals experience.

We're looking for a detail oriented designer with strong mobile expertise, solid product instincts, and a passion for user centered design. If you're excited to help create experiences that guests rely on every day, you'll play an important role in shaping the evolution of Deals at Target.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to UX strategy within your product team by applying strong craft expertise and helping shape design direction
  • Pursue user centric outcomes by advocating for guest needs through research insights, design rationale, and clear storytelling
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and other partners to support the design of high quality end to end experiences
  • Create design deliverables appropriate to each phase of the process, including journey maps, wireframes, flows, visual/UI design, and prototypes
  • Partner with and support junior designers by sharing best practices, feedback, and craft guidance
  • Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research in partnership with researchers, contributing insights that guide team decisions
  • Uphold a high standard of craft across accessibility, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design
  • Strengthen human centered design practices within your immediate team by modeling thoughtful decision making and clear problem framing
  • Build strong relationships with partners to ensure alignment and shared understanding of guest and business goals

About You

  • You're an experienced product designer with 4+ years of relevant product design work
  • Intermediate skills in UX and product design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Demonstrate strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
  • You lean into complex problems, challenge the status quo, and seek to understand the 'why' behind human behavior and their mindsets
  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
  • You value outcomes and strive toward design that is welcoming, inspiring, and clear
  • You understand how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes
  • Exhibit a growth mindset
