As a Sr. Consultant, Financial Products & Services (Prepaid), you will play a key role in driving the planning, execution, and performance of Target's Prepaid program, including Target GiftCards and Open Loop offerings. This role is responsible for owning core business operations, including forecasting, vendor planning, and execution of growth strategies that support category performance across channels.

You will serve as a critical operator within the prepaid business, translating strategy into action through strong financial management, promotional execution, and cross-functional coordination. Core Responsibilities:

  • Own monthly forecasting and financial planning processes for the prepaid category, using data and insights to drive accuracy and inform decision-making
  • Monitor business performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to improve sales, margin, and operational efficiency
  • Support P&L management through ongoing tracking, reporting, and performance analysis
  • Lead vendor planning and execution across prepaid products, ensuring alignment to business priorities and financial goals
  • Partner with external vendors to manage performance, optimize assortment, and identify growth opportunities
  • Support vendor negotiations and ongoing relationship management in partnership with sourcing and cross-functional teams
  • Develop merchandising strategies and create planograms
  • Develop and manage the gift card assortment
  • Support development and execution of the prepaid promotional calendar, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and key business moments
  • Support promotional initiatives across channels, coordinating with partners to define and deliver against sales and engagement goals
  • Evaluate promotional performance and recommend optimizations based on data and insights
  • Partner across Marketing, Loyalty, Pricing & Promotions, Stores, Finance, Analytics, and external teams to drive alignment and execution of key initiatives
  • Independently manage multiple workstreams with varying complexity, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, streamlining processes to improve efficiency and execution

About you:

  • Four Year Degree, preferably in Finance or Business related fields, or equivalent experience
  • 4–6+ years of experience in category management, strategy, finance, or related fields
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, planning, or business performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams and make independent, data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional and external partnerships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actions
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Experience in retail, payments, prepaid, or financial services preferred
