Product Designer (UX/UI)

We are TBC, a technology company that exists for, knows and cares about customers. We are a financial wish fulfillment team. We create not what we like, but what you like.

The TBC ecosystem is built on this basis: to simplify your daily tasks, when we know that we can solve the difficulties in the best way, we are there by your side.

We are able to take care of people with the help of an innovative and creative team. Our team consists of curious people who choose difficult tasks to solve, but are not afraid to make mistakes. We are constantly looking for and creating new technologies and many times we ask the question "What?" and "Why?", in order to better understand what the customer needs.

Job Description

In TBC, product designers are one of the key decision-makers. Our work starts way before the first "design" task in Jira and ends not with Figma screens but with a validated feature or improvement that has made it to production. We embrace true generalists who are used to writing their own copy, designing micro-animations and searching for insights in data alongside product managers.

At first, you will cover lifestyle features in our main mobile app elevating the experience of thousands of TBC customers. Our goal is to convert the app into users' daily drive which is used not only for managing one's finances.

Apart from it, you'll contribute to our ongoing design transformation, working closely with the design system team and fellow designers on bringing the best design practices to TBC products.

This is how your first year in TBC will look like:

  • After your first month, you should be fully onboarded with day-to-day operations and feel at home. You'll already have a few projects done: say existing flow refinements or introducing a brand-new feature.
  • In a three-month period, you'll start looking beyond your daily work: make your first contribution to the design assets, take part in team workshops. It's also the time when you are to take part in your first quarter planning.
  • Six months is your probation period threshold. Both you and your team will finally define if it's a match. Your lead will guide you through the assessment process.
  • On your first anniversary, you'll prepare your first individual development plan that will map your career path in TBC for the next year.

What we offer:

  • Corporate health insurance. We will cover the full cost of your policy, with an option to extend it to your closest relatives (at your expense).
  • Everything needed to get the work done. Laptop, testing devices, design tools access – you name it.

Qualifications

  • Tbilisi-first. We currently work in hybrid mode with office days from Monday to Wednesday. It may change in the future but for now we can't offer a full remote option for this role.
  • Experience of working in a crossfunctional product team. It would be a hard fit if you're experience is freelancing only.
  • Record of several mobile-first products. The best portfolio would be Appstore or Google Play links.
  • Product-oriented mindset. JBTD, CJM, user personas & product analytics tools will be your daily drivers.
  • Strong visual skills. You should be able to come up with a brand new typography and colour system that would hit the right spot in users' hearts.
  • Solid Figma proficiency. Our designers are the owners of all the design assets, so your day job would always consist of digging into components, adjusting variables and building interactive prototypes.
  • Autonomy and flexibility. We are not afraid of changing processes and trying new things, but we expect you to be a part of it. Our perfect employee is a true manager of one.
  • B2+ English skills. You'll be constantly presenting your ideas, brainstorming and resolving possible conflicts so don't underestimate this point.

Hiring pipeline:

  1. Asynchronous CV & portfolio screening
  2. Online whiteboard assignment (about an hour) with design lead & head of UX
  3. Intro call with product team
  4. Meeting our brand director & digital banking lead
  5. Offer letter

For application, send your CV, portfolio and a brief intro about how the path that has brought you to product design.
