Sr. Technical Product Manager (B2C/D2C) - Contract

Working at Tech Holding isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. We are a full-service consulting firm that was founded on the premise of delivering predictable outcomes and high-quality solutions to our clients. Our founders and team members have industry experience and have held senior positions in a wide variety of companies – from emerging startups to large Fortune 50 firms – and we have taken our combined experiences and developed a unique approach that is supported by the principles of deep expertise, integrity, transparency, and dependability.

About the Role

Sr. Technical Product Manager with 8+ years building B2C/D2C products at scale. The ideal candidate blends product strategy with deep technical fluency, owning roadmaps end-to-end, shaping data-driven consumer experiences, and partnering closely with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams. Experience in sports, media, or entertainment (live events, streaming, fan engagement, subscriptions, ad-supported experiences) is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration for high-impact consumer features across web and mobile (apps and responsive web).
  • Translate strategy to execution, build and maintain a clear roadmap, define MVPs, write PRDs/user stories with acceptance criteria, and manage backlogs.
  • Lead technical discovery with engineering and data teams (APIs, SDKs, event schemas, data contracts, microservices) to ensure feasibility, performance, and scale.
  • Ship data-to-consumer experiences (personalization, recommendations, real-time stats/feeds, scores, notifications), balancing UX, latency, and cost.
  • Integrate third-party services such as identity/payments, subscriptions/entitlements, analytics, A/B testing, ad tech, CDNs, content rights/DRM, sports data providers.
  • Define success metrics, run A/B tests, and use insights to improve acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue.
  • Partner across Design/UX, Editorial/Content Ops, Marketing/CRM, Ad Ops, Legal/Rights, and Customer Support to deliver cohesive outcomes.
  • Navigate compliance & rights (GDPR/CCPA, COPPA where applicable; geofencing/blackout rules, DRM; accessibility).
  • Effective communication to executives and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and trade-offs with data-backed recommendations.

Must Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management with 5+ years focused on consumer (B2C/D2C) apps or platforms; prior engineering or data/analytics background is a plus.
  • Technical fluency in modern architectures: REST/GraphQL APIs, event streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), microservices, CI/CD, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CDNs, caching.
  • Data product mindset: experience defining event taxonomies, working with CDPs, segmentation, recommendations, and real-time personalization.
  • Domain experience in sports/media/entertainment—e.g., live scoring/real-time feeds, OTT/streaming (HLS/DASH), highlights/short-form video, editorial workflows, rights/entitlements, ticketing or fan engagement/loyalty.
  • Customer research, JTBD, journey mapping, and partnering with design to deliver elegant, accessible experiences.
  • Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), backlog hygiene, dependency management, and risk mitigation across squads/platform teams.
  • Prioritization mastery: expert in MoSCoW (Must/Should/Could/Won't), RICE, WSJF/Cost of Delay, and impact-vs-effort scoring; able to triage backlogs, balance platform vs. feature work, and re-prioritize quickly based on data, risk, and dependencies.
  • Clear communication: ability to write PRDs, present to executives, and align diverse stakeholders around measurable outcomes.
  • Must be based in London, UK and available to work in-office 4 days per week.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with sports data providers (e.g., Stats Perform, Sportradar, Genius Sports) and rights/blackout logic.
  • Experience with subscriptions/entitlements (App Store/Play billing, in-app purchases) and growth loops (referrals, CRM, push/in-app messaging).
  • Familiarity with ad tech (client-side/server-side ad insertion, IMA, Open Measurement, brand safety), DRM (Widevine/FairPlay), and OTT ecosystems.
  • Background in event operations (live events, scoring, schedule management) or fan communities.

Location

  • London, England W6 0ED
  • Must be willing to go into the office 4x a week (Monday-Thursday)

Salary Range

  • £70 – £85 per hour
  • *Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the UK. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
