Electrical Designer

Tetra Tech is adding an Electrical Designer to our Engineering team based in Ithaca, Albany, or Farmingdale, NY.

Your Role:

  • Assist with the development of design concepts: prepare construction documents, complete calculations, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Produce Electrical Construction Documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Visits job sites, as needed, to evaluate or to inspect existing electrical systems and electrical work in progress or completed.
  • Review and respond to team members on project design work, RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience specifically with electrical systems for buildings.
  • Experience working in an Engineering or Architectural/Engineering consulting firm preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD with working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Requires satisfactory completion of a background check.
  • Requires successful evaluation of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and maintaining a safe driving record

Anticipated Hiring Range: $70,000 - $75,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
