Lighting Designer

Tetra Tech is adding a Lighting Designer to our Engineering team based in Ithaca, NY preferred.

Your Role:

  • Under the direction of a Senior Lighting Designer, perform design of building lighting systems.
  • Develop appropriate system concepts, perform photometric calculations, lighting layouts, selections, specifications, and coordination.
  • Perform site visits of lighting systems for evaluation or to inspect work in progress/completed.
  • Produce Lighting Construction Documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BFA Degree in lighting design, interior design, theatrical design or related field.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit/BIM with working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $60,000 - $70,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
