Designer/drafter

Technical Designer

Location: North Aurora, IL

On-site requirement: On-site (no travel required)

Shift: Standard business hours (day shift) 8-5

Target length of contract (if applicable): Contract, potential contract-to-hire full-time

Team structure/reporting to/direct reports: Reports to Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer; works collaboratively with other designers, engineers, and project teams. No direct reports.

Software used (required?): AutoCAD (required), SolidWorks (required), other design tools as needed

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed technical drawings and designs using CAD software based on specifications.
• Modify existing designs to meet updated requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to provide design solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all design work.
• Review and verify drawings for quality and compliance.
• Support project planning and provide technical input.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in design and drafting workflows.

Compensation/Bonus/Additional Incentives:

• Salary range: $30-33 on contract – $55,000 – $70,000 annually
• FLSA: Non-Exempt
