Job Overview

The Senior Programmatic Manager – Product & AI will serve as a strategic individual contributor piloting a new "Product" function within T-Mobile's in-house Digital Media Investment team. This role bridges media buying expertise with product management competence to advance T-Mobile's programmatic advertising capabilities. The Senior Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for programmatic media platforms (Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Blis), ensuring our internal campaign teams have the latest tools and strategies to achieve business objectives. This role requires a visionary mentality to drive innovation in areas like AI-driven bidding and automation, coupled with the analytical difficulty to forecast media spend and performance for executive leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating sophisticated technical concepts into business value, presenting detailed insights to SVP+ interested parties, and collaborating cross-functionally to turn data and technology into relevant marketing outcomes. *** This position must be located in Bellevue, WA, New York, NY or Herndon, VA. This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid environment requiring at least 3 days a week in office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the in-house programmatic media product roadmap and platform strategy, spearheading innovation initiatives to advance T-Mobile's digital advertising capabilities
  • Integrate AI-driven programmatic solutions across key demand-side platforms to optimize targeting, bidding, and campaign performance
  • Lead data-driven forecasting and scenario planning for programmatic investments, providing insights and predictive models with transparency to C-suite executives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including analytics, finance, engineering, and campaign buying teams – to align programmatic strategies with business goals and ensure cohesive execution
  • Drive programmatic inventory strategy and execution, enforcing a highly controlled, quality-focused buying approach that includes:
    • 100% use of Deal ID transactions for all programmatic deals
    • 100% adherence to approved inclusion lists for inventory sources
    • 100% of spend implemented via marketplace (PMP) deals
  • Handle direct publisher relationships to secure premium inventory and support the media buying team's needs, serving as the primary liaison to key programmatic supply partners
  • Develop a shared SSP partnership strategy in collaboration with T-Mobile's Advertising Solutions (T-Ads) team, aligning programmatic buy-side needs with the company's sell-side opportunities
  • Develop resourcing plans for new programmatic product features or tools, supporting investments in technology improvements and securing vital participant support
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on programmatic strategy, performance metrics, and innovation initiatives, engaging senior leadership and driving alignment

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, data analytics, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing or advertising, with a strong focus on programmatic media strategy, platform management, and innovation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep expertise in programmatic advertising platforms (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP) and a detailed understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including deal structures and supply-side platforms
  • Proven experience integrating new technologies into advertising or media strategies
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience with data-driven forecasting and return on investment analysis; able to interpret complex datasets and present actionable insights to executive participants
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working optimally across teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Proven ability to craft arguments and drive product/technology initiatives from concept to implementation, operating as a high-impact individual contributor

Base Pay Range: $97,800 - $176,400 Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
