The Sr Business Analysis Manager is responsible for guiding the business through analysis of advanced quantitative and qualitative data. This role helps the leaders in product marketing team to make critical strategic and operational decisions. This role requires the creation of customer-centric solutions/approaches driven by data science, data mining methodologies, data analysis, business intelligence/reporting software, business acumen, creativity, and effective communication. This position will lead the design and development of reporting structures and interfaces, present advanced business insights and findings in succinct and creative ways using data visualizations for a broad audience, including all levels of leadership, and also drive administration of standardized reports to be utilized by various team members. They are comfortable acting as an internal data SME and know where datasets are that will answer business questions. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, strategy and channel teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the analytic needs of the business by using data from various sources (e.g. existing dashboards, call centers, SAP, & Business Objects)- Serve as a key point of contact in providing data and reporting solutions to drive business results
  • Create holistic dashboards from different data sources for presentations to senior management.
  • Own the process of driving core insights from available data and provide analysis and recommendations to the team and business owners
  • Present analysis & strategies to senior management in verbal & written forms. Present complex analytical findings in clear, concise and decision-impacting manner. Possess the ability to influence leadership through fact-based analysis.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform offers & processes
  • Early involvement in enterprise projects to define reporting needs & incorporating those needs into the system design
  • Respond and produce additional ad hoc reporting analysis requests and assignments as required.
  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data analysis, data science, decision science, statistics, or similar quantitative fields (Required)
  • Masters/Advanced Degree (Preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience with Business intelligence tools (example: Business objects, Cognos, Hyperion etc) (Required)
  • 7-10 years of experience in reporting and analyzing performance & data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) (Required)
  • 7-10 years of experience in advanced analytics including SQL/ETL, analysis of complex datasets, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis & research (Required)
  • 7-10 years of experience with Python, R, Go or similar statistics or data science language (Required)
  • Telecommunications experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Data Analysis:

  • Exceptional at using wide ranging datasets to deliver broad analysis and insights to maximize value creation and return on investment. (Required)

Problem Solving:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical reasoning skills with the ability to break down complex business challenges and develop data-driven solutions. (Required)

Communication:

  • Ability to manage relationships, influence and communicate complicated analysis, logic, and solutions in a clear and concise manner and provide decision support, analysis and recommendations that help to drive effective execution of initiatives. (Required)

Financial Modelling:

  • Experience with financial modeling, including forecasting, revenue analysis, and cost-benefit assessments to support business decisions. (Required)
