Product Manager, Airside Data Centers

The Product Manager, Airside Data Centers will support the growth and execution of Trane's Airside Data Center product portfolio within the Americas Commercial HVAC business. This role is responsible for managing assigned product lines throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing customer and market requirements, supporting product strategy development, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver profitable growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, customer intimacy, and execution discipline with the ability to translate market needs into actionable product plans. This role will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure delivery against revenue, margin, market share, and customer satisfaction objectives.
This position reports directly to the Portfolio Leader, Airside Data Centers.
This role may be filled in Davidson, NC, Columbia, SC, or Greenville, SC.
What you will do:
- Manage assigned Airside Data Center product lines throughout the product lifecycle, including roadmap execution, portfolio optimization, and commercialization activities
- Partner with the Portfolio Leader to develop product strategies, growth initiatives, and market expansion opportunities aligned with the broader Airside Data Center business strategy
- Gather and prioritize customer, market, and competitive insights to identify portfolio gaps, product enhancements, and new growth opportunities
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to support successful product development, launch execution, and ongoing operational performance
- Drive profitable growth by balancing customer requirements, technical capability, manufacturing readiness, and financial performance
- Support pricing strategy development, margin optimization, and competitive positioning for assigned products
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop value propositions, commercial tools, and go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth
- Participate in product line review processes to assess portfolio health, lifecycle positioning, and strategic priorities
- Monitor business performance including revenue, margin, bookings, pipeline trends, and operational execution metrics; develop recommendations for corrective actions when needed
- Serve as a key voice of the customer, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, sales teams, consulting engineers, channel partners, and strategic customers
- Support strategic growth initiatives including capacity expansion, product line extensions, process improvements, and business case development
What you will bring:
- Professional Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, sales, or related commercial/technical roles
- HVAC industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience in mission critical, data center, or technical equipment markets preferred
- Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrixed organization and drive results through collaboration
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced growth environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field required
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
$117,673.33 - $164,675.00
