Optum is redefining how consumers and business customers interact with healthcare products and services. We are seeking an experienced product management leader with a proven track record and a passion for innovation to join us as Director of Digital Product Management. In this role, you will lead enterprise-level, web-centric initiatives, provide digital product guidance and oversight, and align new and existing features with Optum's overall consumer strategy. You will collaborate closely with other product and technology executives across Optum to set product objectives and drive planning, development, and implementation, while identifying opportunities for efficiencies and synergies. You will lead a team of product managers to bring new digital products and services to market, optimize user engagement and task completion, and enhance website performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead teams and large initiatives through digital strategy creation, ideation, technical development, and the launch of innovative features, products, and platforms
- Drive the full product lifecycle of digital product development with a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, task completion, increased conversion, growth, and retention
- Analyze site performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to accelerate growth, drive user acquisition, retention, and overall app success
- Manage long-term roadmaps and balance day-to-day improvements across multiple product areas with long-term scalability
- Develop metrics to measure the success of product features, analyze results, and collaborate across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations
- Develop strategies, business cases, and roadmaps for new and existing digital products
- Collaborate with Business, Marketing, Research, Digital, and Data Analytics teams
- Stay current with development trends, tools, and technologies, and provide direction, guidance, and oversight to digital teams across the Optum ecosystem
- Establish processes and best practices for optimal website creation and operations
- Define product requirements and coordinate development efforts as the product leader

Required Qualifications:
- Overall software industry experience in 15+ years
- 9+ years of experience in Product Management, building digital experiences
- 3+ years of leadership experience, including hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior leaders
- Extensive experience in healthcare strategy development and creating new features and capabilities
- Experience with UX/UI best practices, SEO, digital analytics, and digital product development principles
- Solid competence in managing website health metrics and improving site performance
- Knowledge of web, responsive web development, and mobile app design trends
- Ability to drive alignment across senior executives, business leads, and technical leads
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative consumer experiences at scale
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience in product management within the healthcare industry
- Experience working with ML/AI
