Our product teams serve a variety of purposes, including: setting program strategies, onboarding new clients, working with the clinical teams to execute and achieve the program benefits as well as many other activities. Together our product team works alongside other functions to serve our members, providers, and clients and are focused on doing so in an effective and efficient manner. Our business is constantly changing and adapting to the needs of the marketplace and it is important that we remain focused on serving those three groups.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week. The product analyst position is a key contributor to UHC offering Medicare products involving CMS filing. Critical role accountabilities include:
- Bid development and submission for Medicare Advantage and stand-alone prescription drug plans (volume growing at ~20% per year)
- Development, quality review, and approval of CMS required content for member and sales materials related to bid filings (Annual Notice of Changes, Evidence of Coverage, Summary of Benefits) as well as CMS owned tools (Medicare Plan Finder and Medicare & You)
- Product SME support for local markets, sales, marketing, digital, and operations for Product related content (Jarvis, Consumer Portals, Member Portals, Service Tools)
- Overall organizational support for reporting, internal product analysis, and competitive analysis
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support Medicare & Retirement Medicare Advantage product management to ensure the successful implementation of strategic and tactical business solutions
- Assist in evaluating and implementing product changes by providing data analysis and reporting (new, routine, and ad hoc reports and analyses)
- Collect, analyze, and present in-depth information on local and national Medicare Advantage competition
- Plan, organize, and manage work to continuously improve the benefit design and filing process
- Work with Product Management in providing product content for marketing, sales, member relations, communications, and training
- Ensure data integrity among various internal groups and/or between internal and external sources for assigned product segments
- Support short-term operational activities
- Assist in facilitating the delivery of cross-functional special projects or initiatives in a matrix organization

Required qualifications include:
- Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor's degree (or obtained degree no longer than 24 months prior to position start date from an accredited college / university). Bachelor's degree must be obtained prior to start of employment
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred qualifications include:
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, solid project management skills, proficient computer and writing skills
- Proven solid analytical skills
- Proven detail and accuracy orientation
- Proven ability to work successfully in a change environment
- Proven ability to work with and communicate with all levels of the organization
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
