(HEO5) $82,922 - $92,203 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation applies

Full-time, one year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

The Graphic Design and Communications Officer works as part of the Communications and Engagement team to create and implement University-wide and Infrastructure-specific communication and engagement materials for projects, events, and information campaigns.

The Graphic Design and Communications Officer works to deliver the communications, design, and engagement collateral and activity required for the development, construction, and launch of infrastructure projects. Working with colleagues in the Communications team, the role works to provide the University community, providing information and opportunities to be part of the development of infrastructure projects that result in improved learning, teaching, and research outcomes. The position assists Infrastructure's project managers and space planners to achieve these outcomes, as well as student and staff groups on related projects and events.

To be successful you will need:

  1. Demonstrated ability to promote the organizational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence, and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behavior expectations.
  2. Proven experience in designing effective communications and marketing collateral for a range of audiences on a limited budget to inspire and motivate understanding and behavior change using the Adobe suite, particularly InDesign, as well as Microsoft applications including PowerPoint and Word.
  3. Experience in developing and coordinating communications activities and events.
  4. The ability to work effectively on a range of different projects simultaneously.
  5. Demonstrated excellent customer services skills and commitment to a customer service culture.
