The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities
Leads strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives to advance Office of Engagement and Enrichment (OEE) and University priorities by identifying and creating educational opportunities. Develops and oversees cohesive curricular frameworks and innovative multimedia content that translate complex concepts into engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences. Oversees the implementation of programming and facilitation of learning opportunities through OEE's team of Learning Specialists. As a senior consultant, this role advises subject-matter experts throughout the University on best practices for curricular development and facilitation related to engagement and enrichment material.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Strategic Planning
- In collaboration with OEE Senior Leadership, identifies strategic communication and educational opportunities and priorities.
- Develops and implements cohesive, forward-thinking curricular design and educational frameworks to drive OEE and University strategic goals.
- Oversees and leads multiple cross-functional projects and initiatives. Continuously reviews processes and outcomes and makes necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.
- Tracks communication and educational analytics Evaluates data and monitors effectiveness. Makes recommendations to OEE senior leadership based on collected data, and implements process improvements.
Relationship Management and Consultation
- Champions engagement and enrichment learning and its importance in creating an affirming and respectful clinical, educational, research, living, and work environment, as outlined in the university Strategic Plan.
- Advises subject-matter experts across OEE and non-OEE areas, including Human Resources and clinical and non-clinical departments on applying an engagement and enrichment lens to learning initiatives related to inclusive practices, culture and climate, and disparities in care, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and regulatory context.
- Maintains relationships with key collaborators to obtain ongoing feedback and input.
- Serves on related committees, task forces, or advisory groups as assigned/needed.
- Advises subject matter experts in engagement and enrichment -related fields on best practices for information dissemination and learning facilitation.
Content Management and Creation
- Develops, implements, and oversees processes for all information and learning design initiatives.
- Oversees content creation that increases OEE's visibility and maximizes the impact of the office's strategic initiatives to internal and external audiences.
- Serves as a creative contributor for OEE's websites ensuring the sites remain up-to-date and meet the needs of the larger University with attention given to meeting the needs of a variety of audiences.
- Oversees development of materials to highlight OEE programming and accomplishments.
- Uses advanced skills to create innovative multimedia assets to further the office's reach and work.
- Translates complex concepts into engaging and compelling learning materials.
- Develops infographics, videos, storyboards e-Learning courses, structures simulations, and creates digital gamification.
- Maintains curation cycles for updates and sunsetting content.
Curricular Design and Educational Implementation
- Performs extensive literature reviews to ensure high quality references for all educational materials.
- Uses a backwards-design approach to curricular development.
- Provides organization and structure around curricular domains to assure consistency across programs.
- Provides guidance and training to OEE Learning Specialists on OEE-owned educational content and consults with other departments on implementation best practices.
- Maintains and refines a centralized structure for engagement and enrichment education for the entire University.
- Oversees the implementation of the educational curriculum.
- Employs a variety of teaching modalities best suited to the content, audience, and learning objectives, guided by adult learning theory.
- Analyzes feedback data and iterates curricula accordingly.
Staff Management
- Provides ongoing supervision and training, engages in performance management conversations and actions, conducts performance reviews, and manages personnel issues and actions.
- Discovers team needs, develops clear project roadmaps, and leads team in executing priorities based on needs.
- Assigns work according to each team member's skillset and workload.
- Reviews work and provides constructive feedback.

Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience required
- 5+ year relevant experience and background in curricular design, learning design, graphic design, and/or information design preferred.
- Experience in adult learning and facilitation preferred;
- Experience working in higher education and/or healthcare/public health preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 1991 Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments, Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, and other related regulations preferred.
- Knowledge of trends and issues impacting inclusive environments in higher education required.
- Expertise in different social networks and deep understanding of the latest marketing trends and technologies preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to research and interpret complex information and reports; exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively navigate sensitive and complex workplace topics required.
- Effective at managing complex and multiple projects simultaneously required.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information required.
