Senior Analyst
Explore your next opportunity at a Fortune Global 500 organization. Envision innovative possibilities, experience our rewarding culture, and work with talented teams that help you become better every day. We know what it takes to lead UPS into tomorrow—people with a unique combination of skill + passion. If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-oriented Senior Analyst to partner closely with an International Product Manager and support the strategy, execution, and optimization of global shipping and compliance-focused products. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, process design, systems thinking, and international shipping workflows. You will help transform complex shipping, customs, and compliance data into insights, decision frameworks, and scalable product and process improvements. Success requires curiosity, independent thinking, and the ability to ask the right questions—not just answer the ones already defined.
What You'll Do
- Develop a solid understanding of end-to-end data flows across shipping, brokerage, compliance, and product systems
- Partner with IT and product teams to understand inputs, outputs, dependencies, and constraints at a surface-level system design (no coding required)
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or process breaks that impact downstream outcomes
- Analyze large and complex datasets related to shipping flows, customs events, clearance outcomes, shipment holds, and customer behavior
- Identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes impacting customer experience, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Translate data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations to support product and roadmap decisions
- Build compelling dashboards, views, and visualizations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities
- Help leadership and cross-functional teams understand what's happening, why it matters, and what to do next
- Ensure data is presented in a way that supports decision-making, not just reporting
- Map and analyze end-to-end shipping journeys, including customer, system, and operational touchpoints
- Support process design and optimization efforts by identifying friction points and improvement opportunities
- Help turn complex workflows into simpler, scalable, and more intuitive processes
- Act as a thought partner to the Product Manager—supporting:
- Problem definition
- Opportunity sizing
- Hypothesis validation
- Success metrics definition
- Prepare data-backed materials for stakeholder reviews, roadmap discussions, and executive forums
- Proactively surface insights and opportunities—without waiting to be asked
