Assistant Furniture Designer

Anthropologie Home is seeking a talented and highly motivated Assistant Furniture Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a designer with strong creative instincts, technical capability, and the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a fast-paced design environment. The Assistant Designer will partner closely with design team to develop innovative, brand-aligned furniture concepts from idea through product launch.

Role Responsibilities

Design Development Create original furniture concepts that align with brand direction, trend, and customer insights. Contribute to both early concept exploration and development refinement.

Collaboration Work closely with design leads and cross-functional partners to develop and iterate on designs. Effectively take direction, apply feedback, and contribute to a shared team output.

CAD Modeling & Visualization Build clean, efficient 3D models in SolidWorks and produce renderings in Keyshot. Utilize sketching and AI tools to explore and communicate ideas.

Execution & Workflow Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strong organization and steady progress while meeting timelines in a dynamic environment.

Prototyping & R&D Partner with Product Development to review samples, resolve design challenges, and contribute to ongoing R&D in materials, construction, and finishes.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or related field

  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot, and Adobe Suite

  • Familiarity with AI tools for design exploration and visualization

  • Strong sketching and concept development skills

  • Understanding of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to feedback in a collaborative environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A strong awareness of design trends and the ability to translate relevant ideas into product concepts aligned with the brand

  • Portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and technical execution
