Architectural Designer
Position requirements: At least a Master's degree in architecture. Must be in possession of a BPI Certification in Infiltration & Duct Leakage. Must have a Class 2 Code & Zoning Representative License with NYC Department of Building.
Position duties: Creating building designs and detailed drawings by AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, COMcheck, and Energy Plus. Producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. Participating in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production. Adapting plans according to circumstances and providing solutions to resolve technical and design challenges. Collaborating with team members, clients, consultants, contractors, Department of Building, including documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, landscape, civil consultants, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives. Managing project timelines, schedules and resources. Conduct building infiltration & duct leakage testing to ensure the building meet with sustainable design requirements and local law. Attend plan examination meeting with NYC DOB official to review the building code and zoning requirement in order to obtain application approval.
