Bilingual Marketing Copywriter
National Presto Industries is seeking a skilled translator to join our Sales and Advertising team. In this role, you will translate and adapt engaging, on-brand copy from English to Spanish for initiatives across multiple platforms, including web, digital, and print. This position ensures all Spanish-language content is grammatically correct, culturally authentic, and aligned with our branded voice ranging from marketing materials to print instruction content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate various marketing documents, review for accuracy, and maintain a glossary
- Edit, organize, and maintain print/digital marketing materials
- Maintain a collection of historical samples
- Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager
Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information. Read written materials, such as legal documents, scientific works, or news reports, and rewrite material into specified languages. Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials. Adapt software and accompanying technical documents to another language and culture. Compile information on content and context of information to be translated and on intended audience. Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions. Refer to reference materials, such as dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, and computerized terminology banks, as needed to ensure translation accuracy.
Other Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong ability to translate copy from English to Spanish with accuracy and clarity
- Keen attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Excellent command of English and Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure
- Ability to maintain an authentic, natural Spanish voice while preserving the meaning, tone, and intent of the original English copy
- Understanding of how to adapt messaging for cultural relevance and audience expectations
- Skilled in writing and editing English and Spanish copy for multiple formats, including web, digital marketing, print, and product instruction materials
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain consistent tone, terminology, and style
- Comfortable working in collaborative environments and incorporating feedback from cross-functional partners
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Office-based position with extensive computer use (90-95% of the workday)
- Regular mobility within the office to collaborate with departments
- Ability to access file cabinets and use standard office equipment (computer, printer, copier, scanner, etc.)
