Are you ready to bring your CAD expertise to a dynamic, full-service engineering firm at the forefront of Power Utilities and Telecom Design? We're looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to high-impact projects with industry-leading clients.

What You'll Do

  • Design and update maps of communication utilities using Katapult imagery from field data.
  • Interpret field notes and translate them into precise project specifications.
  • Input mechanical and technical data into online databases with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with field technicians to ensure equipment meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Apply client and company policies to develop site designs for overhead and underground electrical distribution, including reconductoring, conversions, and reliability upgrades.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D drafting techniques.
  • Experience with utility poles, telecom infrastructure, and OSP (Outside Plant).
  • Familiarity with Katapult software and Google Earth or GIS tools.
  • Associate's Degree or AutoCAD Drafting Certification.
  • 1+ years of hands-on CAD design experience.

Bonus Skills

  • Background in power distribution or telecommunications.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

You'll be part of a tight-knit engineering team in a collaborative office setting. We'll equip you with a company laptop and dual monitors to support your CAD design work and help you succeed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
