Campus Recreation Marketing Specialist

Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Campus Recreation Marketing Specialists in Boca Raton, FL.

The Campus Recreation Marketing Specialist supports the marketing and outreach efforts through graphic design, social media assistance, event representation, and content creation for the department.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Design visually compelling flyers, digital graphics, and other promotional materials to support Campus Recreation programs and events.
  • Assist with planning, creating, and publishing content across social media platforms.
  • Represent the department at campus tabling events, presentations, and outreach activities.
  • Research promotional products, marketing trends, and new opportunities to increase departmental visibility.
  • Capture photos and basic media content at Campus Recreation events for use in marketing materials and social media.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve audience engagement, tailoring messaging and design for key audiences including students, prospective students and families, alumni, and the campus community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.

Salary: $18 per hour.

College or Department: Division of Student Affairs: Campus Recreation

Location: Boca Raton

Work Days and Hours: Monday - Saturday, 8am -7pm. Up to 29 hours per week.

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
