Design Phase Manager (Construction)

AECOM is seeking a Design Phase Manager (Construction) to be based in San Francisco, CA.

Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar, thereby increasing the potential for larger change orders and consequences of error.

May act independently as the IE representative with consulting firms and ensures that the final product reflects the original scope and budget requirements.

Manages projects which have greater complexity than a Program Manager III.

Increasing responsibility for leadership of direct reports.

Experience managing and conducting workshops with multiple consultants and large, diverse stakeholder groups.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring projects are on budget, schedule and delivered with high quality.

Experience with Proposal development is highly desired.

Prior experience working with California Community Colleges and/or other higher education clients.

Working with office suite is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Working with project management software is highly preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Must be able to successfully pass client background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrate the ability to lead a high performing team providing collaborative integrated leadership. Candidate to show through past performance and provided references.

Prior experience managing projects through the Division of the State Architect (DSA) approval process.

Experience with multiple construction delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, GC-PreQual, Design-Build and Lease-Lease-Back.

DBIA Certificate.

Familiarity with state funding processes and requirements for California Community College construction projects.

Proficiency with Bluebeam including Bluebeam Studio Session for Design Reviews.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $175,000.00 - $195,000.00.
