Designer/Drafting Tech - Electrical Distribution Systems

Conduct visual inspections of overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment.

Collect and analyze field data using tablets, GPS, and other digital tools.

Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports to support system reliability.

Perform audits and inspections of pad-mounted equipment, poles, lighting systems, and joint-use facilities.

Learn and apply standards from the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility construction guidelines.

Meet weekly project goals and contribute to a high-performing team.

Skills That Set You Apart

Basic knowledge of telecommunications and electrical distribution systems.

Ability to start as a field technician and transition into a designer role within ~3 months.

Familiarity with AutoCAD and joint-use operations is a plus.

Previous experience in distribution design is highly valued.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

Field experience in electric utilities or telecommunications is a bonus-but not required.

Comfortable using MS Office and other software tools.

Valid driver's license required.

No prior certifications needed-we'll train you!

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
