We're looking for a strategic, data-driven, and creative content strategist to lead the planning, development, and management of high-impact content across digital channels. This role bridges storytelling with performance, ensuring all content aligns with brand voice, business objectives, and audience needs. The ideal candidate has broad experience across digital marketing channels (owned and paid media) and is skilled in both project management and excels at building and maintaining relationships throughout our organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Become a knowledgeable and well-versed partner on the Family Dollar's Digital Marketing team.
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals.
Help to plan and execute omnichannel campaigns.
Work closely with internal and agency creative teams.
Conduct audience research, keyword research, and competitive analysis.
Assist in representing the Marketing team during planning meetings with key stakeholders. Intake new requests and work cross-functionally to ensure deliverables are understood, shared, and delivered in an efficient manner to campaign stakeholders.
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders from other departments, as well as within the Digital department.
Schedule and facilitate planning meetings with several digital marketing channel teams (Addressable, Paid Media, Social, Content, Website/App, etc.). Strategize with the team to develop integrated plans.
Report and analyze performance of large integrated campaigns, working closely with digital marketing channel teams. Determine and effectively share key learnings to drive business decisions and optimizations for future campaigns.
Maintain and enhance planning calendars across multiple channels.
Assist in creating integrated campaign presentations and recaps. Work with Creative and Content team to develop Creative Briefs for large campaigns.
Leverage department software in building workflows to assist with the planning.
Be another set of hands and eyes to help a small team get the details right across a high volume of assets.
Support Brand Team with ad-hoc digital marketing requests.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, English, communications, or other related field
3+ years of broad Digital Marketing experience across owned/earned and paid channels
Detail-oriented, analytical mind and someone with incredibly strong organizational skills.
Self-directed, goal-oriented, and flexible; enjoy working in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple campaigns that may require coordination/collaboration with several departments.
Experience working cross-functionally and with a wide range of departments
Proficiency with MS Office
