Director, Ecommerce Marketing

The Director, Ecommerce Marketing is a critical leadership role on the Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques team. This leader will own the roadmap and performance of our website and promotions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading ecommerce channels for lifestyle consumer brands, driving conversion through consumer shopping experiences, growth marketing channels, product launches and promotions. As a key leader on the team, this person will own and report on the website metrics and promotional effectiveness, providing full-funnel insights and executing testing strategies to achieve data-driven insights. The Director will work closely with Development, Merchandising, Brands and other marketing team members to develop marketing strategies that resonate with our various customer segments.

Education and Experience Required

4-year degree from an accredited university.

8+ years of relevant professional experience in ecommerce marketing demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.

Leadership experience overseeing ecommerce website development roadmap

Experience with driving website conversion optimization in an ecommerce company

Demonstrable experience across multiple marketing channels including full-funnel site optimization, email/SMS, paid, social, content.

Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud (preferred) and/or Google Analytics.

Education and Experience Preferred

Proven track record leading marketing for a home furnishings, luxury or gift industries preferred.

Experience building organizational competencies and best practices in a start-up or high-growth ecommerce business.

Team management experience.

Core Work Activities

Oversee website strategy and execution inclusive of homepage, campaigns, launches, and new features.

Oversee UI/UX improvement prioritization and requirements in collaboration with the development team.

Analyze user flows and business analytics to drive conversion and improve customer experience.

Deliver marketing channel recommendations and develop a promotional calendar to drive business performance and user engagement.

Lead end-to-end website launches in partnership with Merchandising and Marketing teams.

Drive website traffic through SEO and GEO in partnership with Content Marketing.

Manage marketing channels and analytics as needed to drive performance.

Develop site campaigns with a marketing calendar, inclusive of gaining alignment and allocating resources.

Establish and meet or exceed marketing KPIs.

Contribute to the overall strategy of the Retail business and communicate our objectives internally.
