Marine Corps Community Services Marketing Leader

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to shape and sustain a working environment conducive to successful performance.
  • Create a positive atmosphere and culture reflecting pride, professionalism, and customer focus.
  • Plan, direct, and implement a comprehensive marketing program for Marine Corps Community Services.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing plans and strategies for all business operations and social programs.
  • Coordinate market research including demographics, surveys, and focus groups.
  • Carry out public relations activities for individual divisions and other base organizations.
  • Plan and coordinate all advertising campaigns.
  • Manage the commercial sponsorship program.
  • Oversee MCCS Special Events and MCCS Area Coordinator Program, including project management and budgeting.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and direct advisor to senior leaders in the organization.
  • Manage internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies.
  • Oversee preparation and approval of internal office financial plans and related records and reports.
  • Analyze programs and initiate corrective actions to ensure support of operating programs of MCCS.
  • Manage new property resources and provide direction on facility renovations and improvements.
  • Develop long-range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives.
  • Supervise employees, counsel and train them, schedule and direct work, appraise work performance, and approve or disapprove leave and personnel actions.
  • Support the Marine Corps Equal Employment Opportunity and Sexual Harassment policies.
  • Oversee maintenance and enforcement of the security of resources and develop procedures to minimize fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Provide world-class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy and problem-solving.

Requirements:

Ten years of experience demonstrating a broad knowledge of marketing principles, practices, methods, and techniques. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business management required. Five years of experience supervising and coordinating staff, managing marketing campaigns, and using digital marketing tools and social media platforms. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, write after action reports, interpret DoD and USMC policies, and knowledge of NAF policies preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
