This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Anaheim, CA, from January 2026 to June 2026.
The Video Design Team is responsible for the development of video systems that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings, including parades, stage shows, and special events on and off Disney property, and on board the Disney Cruise Line.
We are looking for an experienced individual with an innovative mindset and a passion for Disney quality and creativity. We are seeking a motivated individual who will ensure that the Disney standards are reflected consistently in all design & technical materials.
Support the Video Designers with technical design in the areas of media playback, routing, programming, projection mapping, and display technology.
Create design drawings: Plans, Line, Layouts, 3D pre-visualization, Occlusion Assessment, BTU/Power/Weight load estimates, etc.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including designers, safety teams, production teams, and facility teams.
Assist with prioritization, organization, and problem-solving during installation, focus, and cueing through the delivery of a variety of projects.
Attend and contribute at Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of video technology and equipment
Creative problem-solving skills
Ability to learn new software applications as appropriate
Familiarity with the Entertainment industry and a creative background
Demonstrated understanding of current technology and industry standards for all aspects of Video Design (theatrical, industrial, concert, cinematic, etc.) as applied to live show and facility infrastructure systems
Basic understanding of the content pipeline - UV Mapping, Color Space, Codecs, etc.
Proficient in computer, hardware, and software troubleshooting, with a basic understanding of system components and basic networking concepts
Education
Junior year or beyond
Major or previous coursework in Theater (technical), Video/Broadcast Engineering, or Theater Arts and its associated skills, with a focus on live show entertainment preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship?
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program
Be at least 18 years of age?
Possess unrestricted work authorization?

Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship, including overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
