Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter / Cad Technician to join our growing team in the telecom and utility engineering sector. This role involves creating precise underground and aerial fiber layouts using AutoCAD and ArcGIS, supporting infrastructure development for telecom providers and utility companies. You'll play a key role in permitting, mapping, and documentation processes for a variety of municipal and private projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate land base prints in AutoCAD for field operations.
Produce comprehensive utility plan sets for construction teams.
Design permit drawings tailored to the requirements of various permitting authorities.
Assemble detailed job books and documentation upon project completion.
Import, export, and manage multiple file formats related to CAD and GIS workflows.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and permitting agencies to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD with a strong understanding of drafting standards and practices.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate field data into accurate CAD designs.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS platforms.
Prior exposure to the telecom or utility industries.
Familiarity with permitting processes and municipal standards.
Knowledge of fiber optic network design is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
