We are seeking a full-time Mid-Level Electrical Designer to join our Design Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing facilities such as semiconductor, high tech, data centers, industrial, and chemical facilities. This position requires the ability to understand project scopes and provide detailed design documentation according to standards and code requirements.
Responsibilities
Understand project scope of work and provide complete detailed design documentation to obtain a building permit for construction.
Design electrical distribution, power, and lighting systems, with medium voltage system design as an advantage.
Design emergency and standby generator systems.
Perform building load calculations in accordance with NEC and IECC guidelines.
Coordinate project requirements with the Project Manager and Team Leadership.
Communicate project status and issues or concerns with Team Leadership.
Collaborate with in-house and out-of-house design team members to ensure quality and coordinated design.
Attend meetings outside the office as required.
Conduct pre-design site visits and as-building.
Work within company standards and QC/QA practices.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in electrical design in the consulting engineering industry.
Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, IECC, ComCheck, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
Strong understanding of the construction process.
Familiarity with NFPA National Electrical Code and International Building Codes.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Familiar with distribution layouts, one-line diagrams, lighting layouts, and lighting control systems.
Knowledge of SKM and/or EasyPower software.
Good oral and written communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Field survey experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with design, drafting, MEP, architecture, mechanical, Microstation, BIM, construction documents, electrical modeling, plumbing, and electrical engineering.
Knowledge of Revit architecture, AutoCAD, and BIM.
Experience with visual design and commercial work.
Work Environment
The role is based in North Phoenix at a TSMC office. The company is employee-owned, providing a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
