Electrical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to take charge of the design and layout specifications of control panels for two key projects. This role involves creating designs for control panels housing PLCs, Motors, VFDs, and fans, with the opportunity for additional work. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other designers and project managers to bring customer orders to life.

Responsibilities

  • Design and layout control panels for key projects, including PLCs, Motors, VFDs, and fans.
  • Work collaboratively with other designers and project managers to fulfill customer orders from scratch.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes and standards, such as UL508 and UL6908.
  • Develop detailed schematics based on instructions or customer specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in electrical design, specifically for control panels and PLC cabinets.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a focus on control panel design.
  • Ability to create designs from schematics or direct customer instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong design development skills.
  • Experience with VFD enclosures is desirable.

Work Environment

The position is office-based, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. No travel is required. The role offers the chance to take ownership of the design functions in a fast-growing company, with potential for growth into a leadership position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
