Working under the direction of a licensed engineer, provide electrical design and drafting services that create a set of permittable plans.
Leadership and Direction
Perform work under moderate supervision. Receive direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution. Work is frequently reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles.
At the Operational and Company Level
Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work.
Do the Work
Complete work according to standard engineering design principles and practices and compliance with company standards and/or quality system procedures.
Create and document concepts, sketches, models, layouts, submittals, instructions, and complete production packages.
Identify and resolve incomplete or conflicting design inputs.
Perform design calculations, prepare material and equipment specifications, and provide preliminary sketches and notes for drawings.
May coordinate the design work for a project.
May act in a lead role over less experienced designers.

Data analysis and interpretation skills.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
Associate's degree in computer aided drafting/design and electrical or equivalent degree required.
Three or more (3+) years of design experience in land development, construction, or utilities.
Must be proficient with computer aided design (AutoCAD & Revit) or similar engineering design software.
Experience reading construction plans.
Familiarity with practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters to include construction, manufacturing, substation design, and electrical engineering.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity preferred.

Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience. Range is $33.00/hour - $43.00/hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
