The Bertolon School of Business (BSB) at Salem State University is seeking to fill an open-rank, full-time, tenure-track position in marketing in the marketing and decision sciences department in fall 2026. BSB is seeking candidates with expertise in marketing and related fields to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing. Previous college level teaching experience and scholarly publications in marketing and related fields are highly valued. Duties and responsibilities include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department, BSB, and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester and expectations for research are in line with AACSB accredited schools with a similar mission. Regular work schedule includes in-person classroom instruction, office hours, and campus-based professional responsibilities. The position is subject to available funding. Required qualifications include a PhD/DBA in marketing or related discipline from an AACSB or equivalent accredited institution. Previous university/college teaching experience is required. ABD candidates may be considered if conferred by August 31, 2026. Evidence of scholarly productivity or professional impact in pedagogical and applied research in marketing or related fields is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with and a commitment to teaching a heterogeneous student population with various backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles. A demonstrated record of, or potential for, effective teaching in a variety of instructional formats (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, online) is also preferred.
