Production Packaging Designer

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented production packaging designer for a contract-based, fully onsite role in Wheeling, IL. If you have a keen eye for design consistency, experience in packaging and labeling for consumer-packaged goods (CPG), and thrive in executing production-focused design projects, we'd love to connect with you!

Key Responsibilities:

Execute small, quick-turn packaging updates, such as refreshing labels, updating fonts, and applying logos, while adhering to brand guidelines.

Adapt packaging designs for different product uses.

Ensure that all work is print-ready and meets accuracy standards.

Handle production design tasks exclusively; this role does not involve conceptual or original creative work.

Prioritize consistency and detail, ensuring that all packaging designs align with established brand specifications.

Focus on production design tasks for packaging and labeling projects.

Deliverables will include quick updates and adaptations to existing packaging designs for consumer products.

Day-to-Day Expectations:

Receive and independently execute design tasks using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Prioritize accuracy and consistency in all packaging files.

Maintain open lines of communication with the team while working in a hands-on, production-based capacity.

Requirements:

Technical Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Key Qualifications:

CPG experience is required.

Experience in packaging and labeling design.

Availability to work onsite 5 days per week.

Comfortable with production-style design work.

At least 2 years of professional CPG/production design experience.

Location:

This is a 100% onsite role located in Wheeling, IL. Applicants must be local or willing to commute to the area.
