Graphic Designer / Marketing Coordinator

Our client, an office interior design company, is currently seeking a Graphic Designer / Marketing Coordinator to join their team on a freelance to full-time basis. This position will require 3 days per week onsite in New Jersey. A car is required as there is no public transportation access. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to balance both creative and strategic marketing tasks in a fast-paced sales environment. You will contribute to proposals, presentations, digital marketing, content development, and event support, ensuring every deliverable reflects the brand and helps advance sales objectives. This role will be 50% Marketing 50% Graphic Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales team by creating engaging, persuasive, and visually compelling marketing collateral.
  • Conceptualize, design, and update both digital and print assets including brochures, one-pagers, proposals, presentations, newsletters, social graphics, and website landing pages.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and strategy sessions with both marketing and sales teams.
  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for proposals, web pages, PR content, blog posts, project spotlights, and other marketing materials.
  • Maintain and refresh the marketing materials library, ensuring collateral remains current and aligned with brand standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, digital ads, content marketing).
  • Help plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, trade shows, community events, and partner-driven activities.
  • Support creation and management of photo and video assets to ensure a vibrant, authentic brand presence.
  • Track and manage project workflows to ensure transparency across process and pipeline.
  • Participate in ongoing learning to grow marketing and design skill sets.
  • Step into evolving responsibilities with flexibility and curiosity in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
  • Work cross-functionally in a small, high-touch team environment that requires active listening, initiative, and comfort with strong personalities.
  • Sit in meetings, understand needs quickly, and guide stakeholders toward next steps with clarity.
  • Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing role.
    • A self-starter mindset with the ability to take direction and run with it.
    • Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills (written, visual, and verbal).
    • An eye for details and strong organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
    • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to contribute meaningfully to team and company success.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team that communicates frequently.
    • Comfort in a niche industry with a willingness to learn quickly.
    • Nice to have: Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, interior design, or related industries; experience supporting a diverse sales force is a plus.
    • In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
