Growth Marketing Manager

The Growth Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing multi-channel growth strategies focused on small and medium business (SMB) merchants. This role drives the full funnel of the merchant lifecycle from new customer acquisition through onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation. The Growth Marketing Manager will partner closely with Product Marketing, Commercial, and Regional Teams to build, localize, and optimize growth programs that accelerate merchant adoption and business performance.

Growth Strategy & Planning

Develop and own holistic growth marketing plans supporting merchant/B2B strategy across the SMB segment, aligned with PayPal's global priorities.

Use data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities across the full merchant lifecycle.

Acquisition & Retention Campaigns

Manage programs to acquire, onboard, and activate new SMB merchants through digital, paid media, content, and in-product channels.

Build and optimize retention and reactivation programs to maximize customer lifetime value.

Media Planning & Reporting

Lead media strategy planning and optimization across paid, owned, and earned channels.

Continuously track and report on growth KPIs, producing regular performance reports and actionable insights.

Program Development & Localization

Build scalable, repeatable growth programs and experiments; partner with Product Marketing Managers (PMM) and commercial teams for go-to-market execution.

Own regional localization of growth programs, adapting global campaigns for local market needs and nuances.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years in growth, digital, or performance marketing; B2B/SaaS or fintech experience strongly preferred.

Proven Execution & Ownership - A self-starter with a bias for action who can drive initiatives end-to-end and deliver measurable results. Less strategy.

Marketing Analytics Expertise - Strong background in performance marketing metrics, with the ability to analyze data, optimize campaigns.

Large-Scale Media Experience - Hands-on experience managing and scaling campaigns across major media channels and platforms.

Proven experience building end-to-end growth strategies for SMB or merchant audiences-acquisition through retention/re-engagement.

Track record in media strategy/planning, campaign optimization, and performance reporting.

Expertise in running and scaling integrated multi-channel campaigns (paid, owned, earned).

Strong data skills: comfortable with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and marketing analytics.

Experience with campaign localization and regional/global coordination.
