A multi-disciplinary design firm in Chicago is looking to add an Interior Designer II to their team!
Job Description:
Reviews all work of project team members (Designer I, Design Assistant, and Intern)
Executes project deliverables in the time allotted per project schedule
Ability to generate iterations and options of the design for review as directed by the Senior Designer
Ability to communicate utilizing hand sketches for quick ideas
Ability to study plans, elevations, and details in CAD
General technical knowledge of spatial requirements, design standards, and construction standards
Ability to accurately interpret conceptual designs into 3D models utilizing SketchUp and creating visualizations in Enscape
Utilizes Bluebeam effectively to communicate internally and externally
Ability to redline renderings, modeling, and prototypes completed internally or externally to align with design concepts
Ability to successfully delegate project team tasks and information to ensure design deliverables align with schedule
Under supervision of Senior Designer, communicates with client to distribute project deliverables and seeks information as needed
Review Intern schedules, coordinates with Project Managers as needed
Ability to track and document changes/ revisions for integration into design deliverables
Qualifications:
Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Interior Designer or Interior Architecture
5+ years of experience working in an interiors firm - must have completed a minimum of 3 custom restaurant projects
Portfolio should include custom restaurants and custom hospitality work (retail, hotels, amenity spaces)
Ability to train and mentor junior designers
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience within SD, DD
Experience with FF&E selections

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.86/hr.
