Job Summary:
The Marketing Analyst is responsible for analyzing marketing and member data to deliver actionable insights that improve campaign effectiveness, member engagement, and organizational growth. This role manages and fully utilizes Coastal's Customer Data Platform (CDP) / MCIF system to support segmentation, targeting, performance measurement (ROI), and reporting.
The Marketing Analyst conducts market and member research, prepares results reporting, delivers actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness, and provides support for other analytics systems, including Synapsys, contributing to data-driven decision-making across the marketing team.
As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:
(30%) Marketing Data Analysis, CDP/MCIF Management and Performance Measurement
Manage, maintain, and fully utilize the Customer Data Platform (CDP) / MCIF system to support marketing analytics and member insights.
Analyze marketing, campaign, and member data to identify trends, patterns, and growth opportunities.
Measure campaign effectiveness and performance against established goals using CDP/MCIF and related data sources and systems.
Apply analytical and statistical techniques to transform data into actionable insights for marketing decision-making and results improvement.
(25%) Segmentation, Targeting and Lead Support
Develop and maintain segmentation and target models using CDP/MCIF member data.
Create lead lists, campaign targets, and survey audiences to support marketing and product initiatives.
Collaborate with marketing colleagues to optimize outreach strategies and improve member engagement through data-driven targeting.
(20%) Reporting, Insights and Stakeholder Communication
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting, dashboards, and monthly recaps using CDP/MCIF, Google analytics, Synapsys, and other systems, along with vendor data.
Create clear visualizations and written summaries highlighting qualitative and quantitative trends.
Present insights, findings, and recommendations to marketing leadership, business units, and internal stakeholders.
(15%) Market and Member Research
Conduct market and member research by gathering and synthesizing information from internal and external sources to support marketing initiatives and product development.
Evaluate current performance and emerging trends to identify opportunities and areas of concern.
Develop recommendations and action plans to support marketing effectiveness and product development.
(10%) Marketing Systems and Data Process Support
Provide backup support for Google Analytics and Synapsys including system administration, data maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across CDP/MCIF and marketing systems.
Support monthly reporting needs for senior management and Board-level reporting as required.
