H.F. Lenz Engineering, a nationally recognized engineering & design firm, is seeking a skilled writer to join our marketing team and assist in the development of compelling content that supports our company's business development and proposal efforts and helps us win new projects. This position is based in our Johnstown, PA headquarters. The ideal candidate is a journalist-minded, inquisitive writer who understands our business and clients, asks insightful questions, and delivers high-quality content that aligns with H.F. Lenz Company's voice and brand guidelines.
In this role, you'll build and refine your writing skills in a collaborative, fast-paced corporate setting. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll regularly produce new project descriptions and collaborate directly with Project Managers and Principals to gather approvals, obtain project photography, and manage client permissions, often on tight deadlines. You'll also leverage our in-house templates to turn your content into polished marketing materials. This role builds relationships across practices and geographies to uncover expertise, research and project insights that often remain embedded within organizational silos. You'll use your organizational skills to manage a library of project description content and will be responsible for entering concise, accurate information into our CRM system.
This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy focused work, consistency, and the reliability of a structured schedule with clear expectations. You'll gain specialized skills in a process that contributes meaningfully to the company's growth.
Applicants may be asked to provide writing samples.
