Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer

Job Purpose: The Marketing Communications Specialist will play a key role in shaping and sharing BTC Bank’s story. This position is responsible for creating engaging written and multimedia content that strengthens the Bank’s brand, enhances community presence, and supports business development initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create visually compelling and well-written content that reflects BTC Bank’s brand and voice for print, radio, website, email, social media and other marketing channels.
• Write and edit press releases, feature stories, newsletters, blog posts, ad copy, and other materials with clear, concise, and engaging messaging.
• Proofread and edit all communications for grammar, spelling, and brand consistency.
• Develop and coordinate marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, advertisements, and event materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with local media representatives; prepare and distribute press releases and story pitches.
• Assist with planning and promoting bank events such as Customer Appreciation Days, tailgates, fundraisers, sponsorships, parades, and community programs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all campaigns and initiatives.
• Communicate directly with media representatives, vendors, BTC Bank departments, and branches, and encourage trusting relationships. Ensure that all written communications are professional and align with the bank's messaging.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to strengthen the bank’s overall marketing plan, providing input and expertise in copywriting and content creation.
• Be available for occasional travel and some evening or weekend work to support events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to help achieve the marketing department’s goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or related field.
• Three to five years of marketing experience.
• Previous experience in the agriculture industry preferred.
• Proven expertise in copywriting skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing engaging written content.
• Excellent proofreading skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent creative skills are required for promotional concepts, product development, and overall bank marketing.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced marketing team.
