Marketing Intern

Bunzl is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team for Summer 2026, supporting a high-visibility project focused on packaging, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. This internship is designed for students who are curious about how marketing extends beyond campaigns-and into responsible, accurate, and compliant communication.

As a Marketing Intern, you'll partner closely with professionals across Marketing, Sustainability, Sourcing, and Legal, gaining hands-on experience in how real-world packaging decisions are made. You'll contribute meaningfully to a project tied to evolving recycling legislation while building skills that translate directly into future marketing, sustainability, or business roles.

Target start date: Early June 2026

Responsibilities:

This role is intentionally designed to provide real responsibility-not just observation. You will:

Support a review of existing packaging to evaluate recycling symbols, sustainability claims, and labeling practices

Help document findings and identify gaps or areas that may require updates based on new or proposed legislation

Partner with teams across Marketing, Sourcing, Sustainability, and Legal to gather inputs and clarify requirements

Organize and track project materials, decisions, and supporting documentation

Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand how teams balance compliance, brand standards, and operational needs

Communicate progress, questions, and insights clearly and professionally

Contribute to recommendations that support accurate, compliant, and consistent packaging communication

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Communications, Packaging Science, or a related field

Strong interest in how marketing, sustainability, and regulatory requirements intersect

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence asking thoughtful questions

Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills

Highly organized and comfortable supporting structured project work

Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a professional environment

Why Bunzl? Why This Internship?

At Bunzl, we believe internships should be meaningful, educational, and career-building. As a Marketing Intern, you'll:

Work directly on a real business initiative tied to sustainability and compliance

Gain exposure to how large organizations respond to evolving legislation

Learn how marketing decisions are shaped by legal, operational, and brand considerations

Build professional skills in communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration

Pay for this role is $18/hour.
