Marketing Manager - Solar

Mortenson is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Solar group, who will be responsible for leading the development of compelling proposals, celebratory team member and project stories, and other impactful marketing content that helps us win work and promote our brand; done through exceptional collaboration with group leadership, construction teams, business development teams, and centralized marketing resources. This is a great opportunity for someone with robust Adobe Creative Suite experience to use their graphic design skills to transform our text into a story. If you are a visual master and enjoy spending time within Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, then this is the right role for you. Location: Mortenson Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN- hybrid

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications Studies, Business or a related field
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in marketing, B2B writing, content marketing or sales enablement, ideally in a B2B services industry
  • Demonstrated graphic design experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a good understanding of graphic layout and visual hierarchy
  • Experience with Illustrator and InDesign highly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing content for business-to-business audiences; competency in identifying and developing key messaging and quantifying value to our customer, passionate about storytelling
  • Agility to lead a fast-paced team; adept at organizing, tracking and delivering multiple assignments at once
  • Enjoy researching and learning new industries and service offerings, with the ability to identify key drivers and pain points shaping the customer's mindset; develop accurate and cohesive narratives
  • Strong ability to create PowerPoint messages and visuals; sharp visual organization of information to quickly convey core messages
  • Experience with best practices in writing for digital mediums and working with digital asset management tools and brand standards

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
