Sr. Director, Global Marketing Operations

Location: US Hubs: Purchase, NY or Plano, TX or Chicago, IL EUR Hub: Dublin, Ireland

The Sr. Director, Global Marketing Operations is responsible for driving global marketing operational excellence and transformation across the company’s multi-brand portfolio. This senior leadership role ensures that marketing processes, tools, and governance frameworks are standardized, efficient, and consistently adopted across markets and divisions.

As the functional lead for Marketing Operations, the Sr. Director will act as an interface and connect a cross-functional team across content, operations, and procurement while managing a central team of senior experts in marketing technology operations, performance tracking, and agency management. The role is pivotal in driving and enabling a culture of performance, setting in place the right processes and governance to enable a seamless integration between marketing teams, in-house agency operations, external agencies and partners, procurement, and technology functions.

Responsibilities

Process Governance & Excellence:

  • Own, evolve and connect the global marketing communications process framework, including annual planning, campaign workflow, and end-to-end content operations.
  • Standardize marketing workflows across strategy, creative, media, production, and analytics functions to enable greater speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain a global RACI model for marketing operations, clarifying roles and responsibilities across global, divisional, and market teams.
  • Monitor process adherence, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement across markets and categories.

Marketing Technology Operations:

  • Oversee the consistent operational use of marketing technology platforms, including Agency Management, MRM, DAM, and PIM systems.
  • Partner with the Global Technology and Data teams to ensure effective integration, governance, and adoption of tools across the marketing ecosystem.
  • Champion technology-enabled efficiency, automation, and data-driven marketing operations, including the responsible use of AI and workflow automation.

Performance Measurement & Operational KPIs:

  • Lead the design, strategy, definition, and tracking of operational performance metrics, including process adherence, campaign delivery time, asset reuse, and content ROI.
  • Oversee reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide visibility into marketing operations performance and enable informed decision-making.
  • Ensure post-campaign operational reporting is standardized globally and shared across teams for continuous learning.

Agency Management & Partner Operations:

  • Oversee governance of the global agency ecosystem in partnership with Marketing Procurement.
  • Lead the implementation of global agency appraisal, scoping, benchmarking, and performance tracking tools.
  • Drive operational alignment between the GCC internal agency, market-level teams, and external partners to ensure efficient and effective content delivery.
  • Ensure best practice sharing, onboarding, and process consistency across all agency partners.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead a small, high-performing global team of marketing operations experts, managing embedded staff across anchor markets and divisions.
  • Partner closely with Marketing Procurement, IT/Technology, and Marketing Insights/Data to deliver an integrated marketing operating system.
  • Act as a key enabler of the GCC internal agency model, supporting its success through strong process governance, technology integration, and performance management.
  • Represent Marketing Operations within global marketing leadership forums and provide subject-matter expertise on operational excellence.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $157,200 - $312,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 35% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 15% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
  • Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15+ years experience in marketing operations, marketing transformation, or marketing management within a global CPG or equivalent complex organization.
