Kentucky Blood Center is seeking an energetic, highly-organized Marketing Specialist to support various marketing and communications functions and activities. The role will interact regularly with the Donor Recruitment and Donor Communications teams, and reports to the Director of Media and Branding.
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides weekly support to the Donor Recruitment department by effective utilization of reports and partnering with them in the coordination of publicity activities; manages the production of mobile blood drive marketing materials (such as posters, flyers, postcards, digital assets, etc.) from the design through printing phases.
- Manages all in-house blood donor recruitment mailings, which include design of postcards, preparation of mailing lists in compliance with USPS standards and requirements, and the production, packing and delivery of postcards for bulk mailing.
- Creates and schedules externally-focused texts and emails (for campaigns, fixed sites, and mobile drives), developing content in partnership with key stakeholders (Donor Recruitment, Donor Scheduling and Marketing); tracks data as needed.
- Oversees the production of printed collateral, including but not limited to brochures, posters, postcards, annual reports, newsletters, flyers, signage, etc.
- Works with the Director of Media and Branding in the development, design, and content for marketing materials, including collateral, donor recruitment documents, and social, digital, and print media.
- Designs internal and external signage, including donor center branding graphics, KBC fleet vehicle wraps (buses/bloodmobiles, box trucks, courier vans and SUVs, etc.), and strategic media needs such as billboards and print advertisements.
- Ensures brand standards are met across all assigned activities.
- Provides timely responses and service to internal and external customers regarding publication/production needs.
- Assists the department with organizing special events as assigned.
- Fulfills administrative duties supporting Donor Recruitment and Donor Scheduling departments; provides back-up support for other marketing and communications functions.
- Helps maintain photo and video library for use in marketing materials.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or other related field preferred; other acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 1 to 3+ years of graphic design experience with exposure to marketing production processes required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and web-based applications; advanced familiarity with commercial copiers, scanners, and printers.
- Written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
