Marketing Specialist

This position is located at US Mint, Office of the Director - Key Accounts Branch. As a Marketing Specialist, you will plan and manage the delivery of major, high-priority products and services which are central to the Bureau's goals. The employee is responsible for conceiving and developing new product ideas and initiatives; sustaining and maximizing the growth potential for new and mature products; monitoring the status and progress of product production.

Responsibilities as a Marketing Specialist include:

  • Gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues, and developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or program support setting.
  • Developing new or modified work methods, organizational structures, records and files, management process, staffing patterns, procedures for administering program services, guidelines and procedures and automating work processes for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations.
  • Planning and carrying out projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of organizational and employees in administrative support activities.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations in workflow, work distribution, staffing, performance appraisal, organizational structure, and/or administration.

Conditions of Employment include:

  • Wearing face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
  • Subject to a probationary period where performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated.
  • Successfully completing a background investigation.
  • Completing a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine suitability for Federal employment.
  • Having your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Certifying that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
  • Going through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
  • Undergoing an income tax verification.

Key Requirements include:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • One year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in either public or private sectors that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Providing post launch product support by monitoring and managing product inventory, sales revenue and marketing, and advertising promotions for those products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Performing comparative analysis of previous product and/or the performance of similar products sales history.
  • Utilizing Oracle to process order entry for high-value bullion products.
