Marketing Specialist

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join a leading company located in the Chatsworth, CA surrounding area.

Salary: $54,080 - $62,400

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Management: Partner with the VP of Sales, peers, brokers, and distributor networks to develop, implement, and drive sales strategies focused on the designated channel.

Revenue and Profitability Goals: Achieve budgeted revenue targets and team sales goals, maximizing profitability. Assist in preparing the annual departmental budget, marketing, and business plans.

Marketing: Create, update, and post online content on the company's website and social media accounts; employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (web analytics, rankings, etc.); manage and create marketing literature to augment the company's presence in the market.

Account Management: Develop new accounts and maintain existing relationships by implementing sales strategies outlined by the VP of Sales and Marketing and the CEO.

Distribution and Promotion: Develop distribution targets and promotion plans per company guidelines, overseeing customer sales forecasts, distribution targets, profitability, and trade spend.

Customer Relations: Build credible relationships with existing customers and channels through regular meetings and site visits, aiming to meet or exceed sales projections.

Market Analysis: Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts, analyzing current and potential market trends. Coordinate activities to enhance revenue and market share, ensuring sales meet or exceed revenue plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Production, Quality, and other departments to drive product development, quality enhancement, and meet customer demands.

Product Development: Update the R&D team on food trends for new SKU development and recipe improvements, and participate in sensory tastings to provide real-time feedback on product quality.

Trade Show Representation: Attend national food shows to explore new business opportunities and connect with potential clients.

Sales Initiatives: Assist the VP of Sales and Marketing in implementing new sales initiatives.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

Bachelor's degree in Business, or Marketing field required.

Bilingual in English and Mandarin required.

2+ year of sales experience in the food industry preferred.

Working knowledge of sales cycles according to customer types, i.e., retailers, wholesalers, food services, etc. Prior experience with Asian Ethnic retailers and wholesalers preferred.

Self-driven and proactive with excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned sales territory domestically and/or internationally as needed.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Proficient in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, etc.
