Seagate is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern within our Equipment Development Organization in our design center in Shakopee, MN. This position will support the design, development, launch and production of a high performance servo-mechanical test system to support Head characterization. You will assist engineers in solving and executing day-to-day tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork is a core competency at Seagate, so individual must be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of engineers and technicians. Enjoys both hands-on activity and data analysis. You have considerable judgment and motivation to complete actions. Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and be able to creatively solve problems as they arise. Enjoy multitasking and focusing on completing numerous projects.
Familiarity with Solidworks a strong plus. Working towards a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, or similar field.
