Purchasing Specialist

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Purchasing Specialist to join our Health Care Products team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary: Incumbent acts as an official buying agent for Park Nicollet Health Care Products. Responsible for placing product orders for all routine purchasing with vendors for assigned commodities and products, and order management which includes research and resolving invoice or any other discrepancies. Communicates with end users the status of orders/payments as necessary. Works closely with sourcing and Supply Chain Operations Supervisor in regards to contract availability, terms and pricing to ensure best value products through standardization, contract utilization and value analysis requirements are maintained. Works closely with appropriate vendors, supply chain staff, invoice entry staff and end users. Is expected to follow ethical and legal business practices in their interaction with vendors and to respond to both internal and external customers, in a courteous, professional and timely manner.

Work Schedule: Fulltime 1.0 FTE. Monday - Friday, Days

Required Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Associate Degree Minimum of five years experience in purchasing procedures, accounts payable or customer service. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A solid knowledge of accepted purchasing procedures and practices. A basic knowledge of office equipment. Strong customer service skills. A desire to learn and grow in Supply Chain knowledge. Familiarity with Personal Computers and related keyboard entry Microsoft Word, Excel, Exchange E-Mail, Lawson materials management software helpful.
