Vendor Management
The Vendor Management team within Marketing, Transformation and Delivery is responsible for the strategic sourcing, selection, onboarding, performance management, and relationship cultivation of all external vendors critical to the successful execution of marketing initiatives. This role ensures that our marketing efforts are supported by high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable vendor partnerships, aligning with strategic marketing objectives and operational excellence. The Vendor Manager will act as a primary liaison between internal marketing teams and external service providers, driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and fostering innovation within our vendor ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Vendor Strategy & Sourcing:
- Collaborate with channel leads to develop and implement a comprehensive vendor strategy for marketing execution, identifying key vendor categories (e.g. digital platforms, content creation/management/deployment, print services).
- Conduct market research to identify potential new vendors, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing vendor management.
- Participate in the vendor selection process, including RFI/RFP development, proposal evaluation, and capabilities assessments.
- Assist sourcing and business leads on negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
Relationship & Performance Management:
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendor partners, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs for all marketing vendors. Conduct regular performance reviews and business reviews with critical vendors.
- Identify and address performance gaps, ensuring corrective actions are taken and service quality is consistently met or exceeded.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal marketing teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
Contract & Financial Management:
- Manage the lifecycle of vendor contracts, including renewals, renegotiations, and terminations, in collaboration with legal and procurement departments.
- Monitor vendor spend against budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial accountability.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Assess and mitigate vendor-related risks, including operational, financial, security, and compliance risks (e.g., data privacy, brand guidelines).
- Ensure all vendor activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Develop contingency plans for critical vendor services to ensure business continuity.
Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize vendor management processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and vendor capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies or services to enhance marketing execution.
- Champion best practices in vendor management across the marketing department.
7-10 years of marketing vendor management experience required.
Bachelors Degree required.
