Senior Financial Analyst Specialized In Ai

Amazon seeks an experienced senior financial analyst specialized in AI to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Finance Team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to work in a start-up like environment, is passionate about hardware and digital experiences, and is interested in directly supporting new emerging products.

The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial by nature, analytical in approach, have a demonstrated ability to drive financial automation by leveraging their project management skills and passion for AI to drive business objectives. This role requires a self-starter who has keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a track record of being an advisor to the business. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies and be able to develop and define key business questions and to drive the right data sets that answer those questions.

This role also has regular interaction with various Tech teams across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Create and implement revenue and cost models to be incorporated into business reviews
  • Project manage financial deliverables aligned to business objectives
  • Financial Planning & Analysis, both near and long term forecasts
  • Create and implement financial and operating performance metrics, identifying key call outs and drivers to senior management

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
